A family business

We are the largest and longest-established serviced accommodation business in Southampton. For the last 40 years, we’ve been offering a huge range of convenient short-term rentals in comfortable properties: houses, studio apartments, serviced flats and apartments in the city using our tried and tested business model.

Town or Country came about in the 1980s following the recession. With a property that was hard to sell, our founders took the serviced accommodation business model founded in the US and brought it to Southampton; deacdes before anyone had even heard of AirBnb!

It was such a success, other property owners asked us to let their property in the same way. The rest is history. We’ve grown over the years and offer an expansive portfolio of unique and flexible accommodation to our corporate clients, holiday visitors, students and anyone in need of emergency housing or temporary accommodation.

Managing Director

As Director of Southampton’s pioneering short-let enterprise and second-generation owner, Nina embodies a deep-rooted passion for hospitality, instilled long before the Airbnb era. With over two decades of personal property investment experience, Nina offers expert advice to owners on accommodation suitability and profitability, as well as catering to the diverse needs of guests. Her enthusiasm for Southampton’s rich diversity and collaborative opportunities fuels her passion for the city’s promising future.

Victoria Danks

Operations Manager

Victoria joined the company in 2012 as a receptionist, swiftly mastering her role and advancing through the ranks. Her unwavering dedication to Town or Country was evident from the start. Over the years, Victoria excelled in every department, culminating in her current position as Operations Manager. Focused on compliance, staff training, and supporting the director, Victoria ensures the company’s continued success. As a country girl commuting from the New Forest to our Southampton office, she values Town or Country’s commitment to local and ethical practices.

Richard Clarke

Business Development Manager

As head of Business Development at Town or Country, Richard’s role involves connecting with existing and potential landlords, guiding them through their journey with Town or Country. With over twenty years of experience in property, including time at a top UK holiday accommodation firm, Richard is committed to delivering excellent customer service to all clients, both old and new. Living in Southampton himself, he loves his city and happily shares advice with guests about places to visit and establishments in which to dine or drink.
